How to set the Profibus Address
of the Gauge PLC for
Touch Screen Computer communication
NOTES
The purpose of this procedure is to provide information for configuring spare
Touch Screen Computers after installation.
This procedure is required when more than one gauge are on the same Profibus
Network. In the case of dual- or multi-Gauge systems, spare Touch Screen
Computers are shipped configured as drop-in replacements for "Gauge #1".
Failure to follow this procedure may cause the
Touch Screen Computer to issue commands to the wrong Gauge!
The following procedure requires that a keyboard be
connected to the Touch Screen Computer.
| 1 | "Stop" the Siemens WinCC HMI software by
clicking the black square. (similar to a STOP button on a VCR or CD player) Note: Pressing CONTROL and ESCAPE on the keyboard will display the Windows "Start" Menu. In the "Start"/Taskbar, click on "Control Center" to switch to the screen shown:

| 2 | Navigate to and
select the desired PLC listed under "PROFIBUS". The picture shows "GaugePLC"- The actual name(s) listed will vary with the individual application.
Be sure you have selected the proper gauge before proceeding to step 3. |

| 3 | With the appropriate Gauge selected in
the list, click the "Properties" button. This will open the window used in step 4.

| 4 | Click the "Connection" tab in the
properties window. Next, enter the Profibus Address of the PLC in the "Station Address" textbox.
